vehicles with which cyclists and pedestrians are currently forced to share the highway due to
lack of safer options; and

WHEREAS in its current state Provincial Highway 559 has many dangerous sightlines and has

TO: THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ONTARIO
Whereas the all money the Government collects from hunting and fishing licence fees, fines and royalties is held in the Fish and Wildlife Special Purpose Account (FWSPA); and

Whereas the funds in the FWSPA are required by legislation to be reinvested back into wildlife management to improve hunting and angling across the province; and

Whereas more than two million Outdoors Cards and fishing and hunting licences are sold annually in Ontario, bringing in on average $60 million per year; and

Whereas the Wynne Government reportedly spent from the FWSPA more than $530,000 on meetings and $70,000 on repairs to rental offices and buildings; and

Whereas the in the past the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry indicated that records for the FWSPA could not be released as “they do not exist”; and

Whereas this is in direct contravention to the Financial Administration Act that requires receipts and disbursement to be recorded for all Special Purpose Accounts;

Therefore We the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows: That the Legislative Assembly of Ontario request the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry to direct the Auditor General to conduct a value for money audit of the FWSPA fund.

TO: THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ONTARIO
Whereas, since 2006 the Auditor General of Ontario had been responsible for reviewing all government advertising to ensure it was not partisan; and
Whereas, in 2015 the Wynne government watered down the legislation, removing the ability of the Auditor General to reject partisan ads and essentially making the Auditor
General a rubber stamp; and
Whereas, the Wynne government has since run ads such as those for the Ontario Pension
Plan that were extremely partisan in nature; and
Whereas, the Wynne government is currently using taxpayers’ money to run partisan
hydro ads; and
Whereas the government did not feel the need to advertise to inform the people of Ontario
of any of the many hydro rate increases; and
Whereas, history shows that the Wynne and McGuinty governments have increased ad
spending in the year proceeding a general election;
We the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows:
To immediately reinstate the Auditor General’s authority to review all government
advertising for partisan messages before the ads run.

TO: THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ONTARIO
WHEREAS Electricity rates have risen by more than 300% since the current Government took office; and
WHEREAS over half of Ontarians’ power bills are regulatory and delivery charges and the Global
Adjustment; and
WHEREAS the Global Adjustment is a tangible measure of how much Ontario must over-pay for
unneeded wind and solar power, and the cost of off-loading excess power to our neighbours at a
loss; and
WHEREAS the market rate for electricity, according to IESO data, has been less than 3 cents per
kWh to date in 2016, yet the Government’s lack of responsible science-based planning has not
allowed these reductions to be passed on to Ontarians, resulting in electrical bills several times
more than that amount; and
WHEREAS the implementation of Cap-and-Trade will drive the cost of electricity even higher and
deny Ontarians the option to choose affordable natural gas heating; and
WHEREAS more and more Ontarians are being forced to cut down on essential expenses such
as food and medicines in order to pay their increasingly unaffordable electricity bills; and
WHEREAS the ill-conceived energy policies of this Government that ignored the advice of
independent experts and government agencies, such as the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) and the
Independent Electrical System Operator (IESO) and are not based on science have resulted in
Ontarians’ electricity costs rising, despite lower natural gas costs and increased energy
conservation in the Province;
WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, PETITION THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ONTARIO AS FOLLOWS:
To take immediate steps to reduce the total cost of electricity paid for by Ontarians, including
costs associated with power consumed, the Global Adjustment, delivery charges, administrative
charges, tax and any other charges added to Ontarians’ energy bills.

TO The Legislative Assembly of Ontario: –

Whereas, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing plans to give all Ontario municipalities the ability to charge their own Municipal Land Transfer Tax (MLTT) in addition to the provincial land transfer tax home buyers already pay;

Whereas, an MLTT would increase the amount of land transfer taxes due at closing on the average priced home in Ontario to more than $10,000;

Whereas, this tax would further complicate the financial challenges already faced by many Ontarians, effectively making homeownership impossible for some.

Whereas, an MLTT would make Ontario the most uncompetitive tax jurisdiction in North America when it comes to buying a new home.

WE the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows: –

That, members of the Legislature oppose any action taken by the government to impose, or help municipalities with the imposition of, any new municipal land transfer taxes.
