Queen’s Park, Toronto – Ontario’s Government for the People has launched a better way for hunters and anglers across the province to get their Outdoors Cards and hunting and fishing licensing products. Ontario is also working to make the moose draw fairer and simpler for hunters by updating its approach to managing moose.

“Hunting and fishing are important parts of our culture for many people in Parry Sound-Muskoka,” said Norman Miller, MPP for Parry Sound-Muskoka. “I am pleased our government has recognized that and is acting to make it easier for hunters and anglers to apply for licences.”

“Our government is making life easier and allowing you to get outdoors quicker,” said John Yakabuski, Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry. “We have launched a new licensing service that makes it easier to buy hunting and fishing licences. It was designed with hunters and anglers in mind.”

The new licensing service is easy to use, with new mobile features and a single Outdoors Card. It can be accessed online at, at participating ServiceOntario locations or at one of over 700 licence issuers across the province. Use it now to purchase Outdoors Cards, fishing licences and small game licences.

As well, over the next two years the government intends to work with an advisory committee, which will review how moose tag quotas are developed and how hunters apply for tags. The review will examine ways of improving service while helping to maintain a healthy moose population.
